First Things First
Before a user (either a resident or a staff member) can use a key fob, two things need to happen first:
When residents move in, key fob access must be updated for assigned fobs to work on Bluetooth-connected locks. This article lays out how to do that.
Before your key fob is activated, it will not unlock doors that you should have access to. You can activate your key fob yourself by using the Update key fob access button.
Select the lock you want to update. This could be your unit or an amenity space door. Then, select the Update key fob access button and wait for the success message.
Hold your fob up to the reader. The light should flash green indicating that the deadbolt or lever can be turned to unlock the door.
Remember: this process works for both units and amenity spaces.
