First Things First
Before a user (either a resident or a staff member) can use a key fob, two things need to happen first:
When residents move in, a key fob will need to be scanned on the credential scanner or updated at the manual lock. Locks must be updated for assigned fobs to work on Bluetooth-connected locks. This article will walk you through it!
Some Background
Before your key fob is activated (at the unit door or by your property scanning the key on the key fob scanner), it will not unlock doors that you should have access to. You can activate your key fob yourself by using the Update locks button.
Select the lock you want to update. This could be your unit or an amenity space door. Then, select the Update locks button and wait for the success message.
Hold your fob up to the reader. The light should flash green indicating that the deadbolt or lever can be turned to unlock the door. If it doesn't, please reach out to Support!
Remember: this process works for both units and amenity spaces with Bluetooth connected locks.
