Before a user (either a resident or a staff member) can use a key fob, two things need to happen first:
When residents move in, a key fob will need to be scanned on the credential scanner or updated at the manual lock. Locks must be updated for assigned fobs to work on Bluetooth-connected locks.
To unlock your door
Hold your fob up to the reader.
The light should flash green indicating that the deadbolt or lever can be turned to unlock the door.
Remember: this process works for both units and amenity spaces with Bluetooth connected locks.
