If you’d like to make package delivery easier at your multifamily property, it might be worth considering Amazon Key.
Amazon created the “Key for Business” service, which is a device that integrates with existing access systems to grant temporary access for Amazon Drivers to complete deliveries. This allows drivers to enter multifamily communities and deliver packages straight to residents or a secure package room.
How does it work?
First, the “Amazon proprietary smart fob unit” is installed into the control panel at multifamily properties. Then, delivery drivers use the Amazon Delivery App to unlock the installed device.
Homebase is compatible with Amazon Key, and we’re excited to offer this upgrade at all Homebase properties with Brivo or Allegion RC exterior access control. Homebase is the only company that provides Amazon Key compatibility for RCs.
How much does it cost?
Amazon Key is a complimentary upgrade that is available for customers who meet the unit minimum requirement.
