Please note: If your community has already connected your property management software to Homebase, the stay creation process will be automated. Learn how to connect your property management software here.
So What are Stays?
Simply put, a stay is pretty much a lease. A stay is the amount of time you assign a resident to "stay" in your community.
Stays can be short and temporary, or they can be long and without an end date. However, 9 times out of 10, you will be creating a stay when a resident is moving into your community.
First: Create the Stay
Make sure you're logged into the Homebase Manager desktop site.
Click the blue "New +" button on the left-hand side and select "Create stay" from the drop-down menu.
Select the appropriate Community and Unit you're adding the stay to
Select start date
Select end date (optional)
TO AVOID HEADACHES: When creating long-term leases (stays), we don't recommend setting an end date. Many of your residents will end up renewing their leases, and not setting an end date makes stay management easier.
