Here's a sample email you can send to residents when your property is installing smart locks and/or activating Homebase Access.

Hi Resident,

As an added smart amenity we are installing smart locks on the property. You will be given key fobs (or they will be left in your unit) on the date your lock is installed. You will also receive an email invitation to download the Homebase App.

You can use the Homebase App to lock and unlock your smart lock. The app uses bluetooth to communicate with the lock so you must be within 10 feet of the lock.

Here's how it will work.

You will receive the email invite to download the Homebase app.

You'll enter the email address the property has on file for you and select Sign In then follow the Help with Sign In and Forgot Password process to create a password.

Logging into the Homebase App

Once logged in you'll use the app to lock and unlock your door. I've included a video below that shows exactly how to do this.
