To move an existing lock into Homebase:
Remove lock from Engage Managed Site
Install lock on the Homebase Managed Engage Site
Install the lock with the Mobile Manager
What you'll need:
Credentials for current Engage Site
Credentials for the Homebase Mobile Manager
Step 1: Remove lock from Engage Managed Site
Unscrew the backplate and remove a battery
Wait 30 seconds and replace the battery
After 3 beeps engage the lock twice by turning the rod on the back of the lock.
Log into the current Engage Site and delete the lock by swiping to the left on the lock and selecting the red delete button that appears.
Step 2: Install lock on the Homebase Managed Engage Site
Select the Maintenance tab at the bottom of the screen and toggle between OPEN and COMPLETE tickets 10 times until the Install Tab appears in the lower right hand corner of the screen.
Select the Install tab
Tap on the unit you want to install the lock on
Tap on “Add device”
Tap on “Allegion Lock”
On the Setup Engage page note the username and password.
Open the Engage App and log in with the credentials.
Select the Homebase Managed Site
On the Devices tab select the + in the upper right hand corner
Select Control Lock
Select Use Default Settings
Select the lock you want to install.
Check if the light is blinking on the lock and select Yes in the upper right hand corner of the app to confirm you are connected to the appropriate lock.
Give the lock a name of "Unit Number, Property Name"
Step 3: Install the lock with the Mobile Manager
On the Setup Engage page of the Mobile Manager select the blue Scan for Allegion locks button under Step 2.
Select the lock you just added in the Engage App.
Name the lock "Unit Number, Property Name"
Select the Access tab at the bottom of the screen and find the lock. If the lock is not displaying you may need to refresh by closing the app and reopening it.
Select the lock and use the Engage button to connect to the lock. Turn the deadbolt to lock or unlock the lock when the app says "Lock Engaged - Ready to lock or unlock"
At this point residents and staff who are allowed access to the lock can use their phone as a gateway. However, fobs still need to be assigned and transferred to the lock as outlined here:
