Instant Access

When residents are invited to the Homebase App, they have instant access to community doors and their unit door with the Homebase App. Staff gain instant access using the Mobile Manager App. 

Fob Management 

When assigning fobs in Homebase, properties can either use a no tour reader 

or physically go to the lock to sync the updated fob information.

No Tour

For instant access without going to the unit door, a no tour reader can be used to program and update fob assignments.

Please note that new fobs assigned with no tour update access to the lock instantly. 

However, removing fob access is not possible using no tour. The fob must be unassigned in Homebase and a staff member must visit and sync the lock to remove fob access. Until this is done, previous residents will still have access to the lock with their fob. 

Visit and sync the lock

Syncing a unit lock with the Mobile Manager is required when: 

  1. Assigning a new key card or fob (if no tour is not available)

  2. Un-assigning a key card or fob

  3. Checking battery status

To sync a lock open the Mobile Manager and navigate to the Access tab in the lower right. 

Select the Lock you need to sync from the list. If you are near multiple locks, they will show up in the list so it's important to select the correct lock. 

Scroll down and select Sync Fob Access 

A window will appear to let you know that the app is looking for the lock and then updating the lock. 

When the lock has been synced you will see the message Success - Update complete.
