Staff - Homebase Resident Guest Access

This new feature allows residents to create and send guest passes to their visitors all while giving you ultimate autonomy in configuration.

Resident Guest Access makes life easier for property staff by reducing the need for manual visitor management. Residents can grant access directly to their guests, cutting down on call-ins, interruptions, and key hand-offs—so staff can stay focused on daily operations instead of playing “gatekeeper"!

Before activating Resident Guest Access in your Homebase portal, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager! They can help ensure your property is set up on the back end to enable the steps below.

Step one: Select the Community Settings tab at the bottom of your Homebase.ai portal.

Step two: Select the Resident guest keys option under the Access section.

Step three: Under the Resident Guest Keys section, enable this feature by toggling the switch on. This will now show in the Homebase resident app.

Step four: Configure which rooms residents will be able to share with their guests under the Shareable Rooms sections.

  • Units

  • Restricted Spaces

  • Unrestricted Spaces

Step five: Next, select the Maximum Duration of how long residents can provide access to guests. Select from the dropdown menu the Maximum Guest Duration. Please note, the maximum limit is 7 days (1 week).

Step six: Select Save when done. Congrats! You have configured Resident Guest Access!
