To install and activate your smart lock you will need:

  • Smart Phone with Bluetooth capabilities (iOS 10.0+ required)

  • Schlage Control, LE, or NDE lock

  • Screwdriver

Before you begin, download and log into the following apps using your login credentials. (Homebase will initiate account invitations which you will receive via email from Homebase and Allegion.)

If your invite has expired please contact Homebase Support.

Step 1: Install the lock.

Step 2: Add the lock to the Homebase integrated Engage site in the Engage App.

  1. Homebase will send you an invite to your email for you to create a password for the Engage app. If your invite has expired please contact Homebase Support.

  2. On the Sites tab, select the building where you’re installing.

  3. Select Devices.

  4. Use the + in the upper right corner to add a lock.

  5. Select the appropriate type of lock, select Default Settings and follow the in app prompts to add the lock.

Step 4: Add the lock to Homebase.

Log into the Homebase Mobile Manager App

Navigate to the More tab and tap on the version number 10 times to reveal the Installer tab that appears below.

  1. Install tab will appear below under a new section titled installed mode.

  2. Select the name of the unit you are installing this lock for

  3. Select Allegion and then Yes - Scan for Allegion Locks

  4. Select your lock by matching the serial number and then select "Add" then Save.

Step 5: Perform lock maintenance and Engage

Return to Engage App

  1. Perform lock maintenance to activate all fobs with access to the lock.

  2. Engage the lock and manually turn the deadbolt to lock the unit.

Please note: It may be necessary to close and reopen the app in order to successfully perform lock maintenance or engage the lock. If the app fails to perform lock maintenance or engage please close and reopen the app and try again.

Please note: The app does not lock the door. The app engages the lock which allows you to turn the deadbolt. You must manually turn the deadbolt to lock or unlock.

Troubleshooting:

If the lock fails to Engage and/or Perform lock maintenance, it may need to be removed from the Engage site, factory reset, and re-added to the Engage site.

Remove the lock from the Engage Site.

  1. Swipe left on the lock's name and delete the lock you are removing.

Step 2: Manually reset the lock.

  1. Unscrew the backplate and remove a battery for about 15 seconds.

  2. Insert the battery and wait for the lock to flash and beep.

  3. Turn the deadbolt rod to engage the lock twice.

  4. Replace the backplate.

Step 3: Add the lock again as outlined in Step 2 above.

You do not need to make any changes to the Mobile Manager. The lock will still be onboarded to the unit but the connection should now be refreshed and the lock should Engage and Perform lock maintenance using the Homebase Mobile Manager App.
