This article explains how to chat with residents from the Community Manager and the Mobile Manager.

To chat with residents log into the Community Manager or Mobile Manager.
In the Community Manager select the unit of the resident with whom you'd like to chat and then select Chat at the bottom of the Unit Menu.
The chat will open in a new browser window.
To see messages from all residents use the back arrow next to the residents name at the top of the chat.
There you will see all Unread Messages followed by all Read Messages.
You may see a pop-up from Homebase requesting to send you notifications. Please select Allow to ensure you receive notifications of new messages.
To return to the Community Manager Dashboard select the blue Open button at the bottom of the Chat Menu on the left.
A chat history download will be available until October 30, 2019. If you would like to download a unit's chat history, or if the resident requests a copy of the chat history select Export Conversation History from the Unit Menu.
This will be a record of all chats from the old chat system and will not include any messages from the new chat feature released on Tuesday, October 22, 2019.
On the Messages tab of the Mobile Manager you will see Unread messages at the top of the screen followed by all Read messages.
